Today we are making a spicy vegeterian snack that is bursting with flavors. This chaat is a dream come true for potato lovers.


  • Boiled and mashed potatoes 4
  • Chat Spice mix 1tbsp
  • Cilantro chopped 1tbsp
  • Green chilli chopped 1
  • Bread crumbs 1tbsp
  • Corn flour 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying

For Chat:

  • Beaten yogurt with salt as needed
  • Green chutney
  • Tamarind chutney

For Tempering:

Cumin seeds 1tsp
Red chillies whole 4
Oil 1tbsp


Take a mixing bowl, add boiled potatoes, salt, spice mix, cilantro, chopped green chillies, bread crumbs and cornflour, mix everything well and make small patties, shallow fry them until golden from both sides.

Place all the patties in a large platter. Sprinkle chopped tomatoes onions and cilantro (optional). Pour in all the yogurt then green chutney and tamarind chutney.

Prepare tempering and pour on top, sprinkle some spice mix if desired.
