Let us add vegetables to our menu today and try this easy and delicious recipe that will tickle your taste buds!


    • Green Chillies 10 to 12
    • Potatoes 2 medium cut in sticks
    • Baby carrots 5

    For Baghar:

    • Cumin seed 1tsp
    • Aniseed 1tsp
    • Fenugreek seeds pinch
    • Mustard seeds pinch
    • Onion seeds pinch
    • Curry leaves a few

    For masala:

    • Cumin seeds 1tsp
    • Coriander seeds 1tsp
    • Aniseed 1tsp

    All coarsely grounded

    • Red chilli powder to taste
    • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
    • Onion chopped 1 medium
    • Tamarind pulp 4tbsp
    • Chopped garlic 2 to 4
    • Salt to taste
    • Crushed red chilli to taste


  1. Add 4tbsp of oil in a wok and then add all the baghar ingredients and fry until fragrant.
  2. Add all the vegetables and crushed garlic and saute on high heat for few minutes, take them out in a plate.
  3. In the same wok add chopped onions and saute until light golden.
  4. Add tamarind pulp, salt, red chilli powder, coarsely grounded masala and crushed red chilli and mix everything well then at the end
  5. Add vegetables with  2 tbsp water, let it simmer for 5 minutes, serve hot with boiled rice or rotis.
